Our journey began with a small book shop over 35 years ago in Biratnagar established by Late Ajay Kumar Satyal when he was just 19 years old. From this modest beginning, Satyal Publication was later established and grew into a renowned family-owned publishing house in Nepal, dedicated to producing quality educational materials that have empowered countless students across Nepal. We also started our international presence in Japan, Australia, UK and Brunei by producing on-demand educational contents and books to NRNs.

After introducing content worthy textbooks and vast teaching materials, training teachers seemed to be our main objective. Therefore we introduced SPTP (Satyal Publication's Teacher Training Project), the first privately initiated CSR based teacher training initiative in Nepal. Through SPTP, we trained more than 30,000 teachers across Nepal.

Our Founding Father

Late. Ajay Kumar Satyal was born on November 1, 1962 to Madhav Prasad Sharma Satyal and Puna Devi Satyal. Born into the family of educators, he completed his Bachelors of Commerce from Banaras Hindu Univeristy (BHU). Right after completing his B.Com, he pursue a job in a printing press in Banaras.

Back in the days, educational textbooks in Nepal was very limited, therefore he started by importing Nepali printed books from Banaras and sold it in Biratnagar. He noticed that the books in Nepal barely met quality and standards. Later Satyal Publication was established to deliver the high quality textbook with standardized contents meeting Curriculum Devlopment Center (CDC)'s guidelines.
